Today, we took an important step in the Government of Kenya’s bold mission to plant 15 billion trees—a goal that reflects the nation’s commitment to combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.
At AHITI Nyahururu, we joined hands to plant trees, contributing to this nationwide initiative while making a lasting impact right here at our campus. This tree-planting exercise was not just about adding greenery to our surroundings; it was about actively participating in securing a better, more sustainable future for generations to come.
The success of this initiative is a testament to the collective efforts of the Office of the Director of Livestock Production, our students, staff, and community partners, all of whom came together to make this vision a reality. As we work towards planting more trees and expanding our environmental impact, we remain steadfast in our dedication to preserving nature and promoting ecological balance.
This event is just one of many steps we will take to support the country’s reforestation goals and ensure that future generations inherit a thriving, sustainable planet.
We are proud to be part of this collective effort and look forward to the continued growth of these trees—both in the soil and in the hearts of those who participated.
Together, we are planting the seeds of a brighter, greener tomorrow.
