On behalf of Animal Health Industry Training Institute (AHITI) Nyahururu fraternity, I welcome you to our website. We aim for this site to showcase AHITI Nyahururu to the world, offering staff and students a platform to share their experiences and research findings.
This website provides comprehensive information about our Institute, including contact details, departments, courses offered, application and admission requirements, as well as the facilities available at the Institute.

AHITI Nyahururu is one of the training institutes in the State Department for Livestock and we are committed to developing the human resource capacity as required by the global animal resource industry. We admit trainees from all the 47 Counties and are committed to regional balance and gender equity. Currently, the Institute offers the following courses:
1. Diploma in Animal Health and Production,
2. Upgrading to Diploma course in Animal Health and
3. Certificate course in Animal health and Production.
As the Institute physical infrastructure is improved, the institute will launch more courses especially short courses that will build the capacity of livestock farmers. Our dream is to be the best training Institute for veterinary paraprofessionals in East and Central Africa by providing quality and practical training in livestock production, animal diseases control and management, control of Zoonotic diseases, agribusiness and value addition of animal products. Message from the Deputy Principal

AHITI Nyahururu is positioning itself as a top-rated Animal Health Training institute in the region. To realize the institution’s vision, mission and strategic objectives with regards to Training and learning, the Office of the Deputy Principal is expected to provide leadership in all areas of Co-ordination of the academic programmes and Institute management. In liaison with the Principal, the Deputy develops Institution Work plans and Budgets, Co-ordinate’s farm development,controls expenditure, prepares various reports of the Institute, Supervises and appraises staff and Monitors students’ and lecturers’ class attendance. This will provide an environment that creates an academic base that nurtures outstanding graduates with hands-on approach in the Livestock sub-sector who are highly regarded by employers

student-centered approach to training and learning geared towards ensuring that our graduates emerge with high level of communication and problem-solving skills with flexibility to adapt to new situations and the ability to become future leaders in the field of animal health and production. Sensitivity to societal and market expectations of training & learning will be the guiding factors in the development and review of our curricula. I therefore call upon the entire AHITI Nyahururu Community which includes: students, staff, alumni and members of the local community as well as other individuals or organizations impacted by our programmes, services, and facilities to lend a hand in strengthening the premier technical and training institution of Animal Health in Kenya.
